Alex grew up in Western North Carolina. She moved to Wilkesboro in 2021 after she married her college sweetheart. Alex graduated from Western Carolina University in 2018 with her bachelors in Social Work. Alex then continued her education at WCU to earn her masters degree in Social Work. Currently, Alex is practicing as a LCSW at AppHealthCare and is primarily located at Westwood Elementary and Mountain View Elementary. WIth her work, Alex utilizes a variety of therapeutic interventions such as CBT, motivational interviewing, DBT, play therapy, and mindfulness exercises. Alex specializes in treatment with younger individuals with ages ranging from 5 to 12. In her spare time, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband, her two young children, and her two golden retrievers named Maple and Willow.
