Brittany grew up in Marion, NC where she became passionate about providing mental healthcare to underserved rural areas in WNC. She went on to attend Appalachian State University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees and received extensive training in providing therapy services to children and adolescents in Alleghany and Ashe County Schools. She graduated from the clinical psychology doctoral (Psy.D.) program at App State in December 2025. Brittany is a generalist behavioral health provider who takes a collaborative and whole-person approach to treatment in order to assist patients in learning skills to live their most value-consistent lives. She has experience treating most presenting problems including chronic suicidality, depression, OCD, trauma, anxiety disorders, substance misuse, and behavioral disorders. Brittany integrates evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and dialectical behavioral therapies to fit the needs and presenting concerns of her patients. She looks forward to providing school-based behavioral health services to the youth of Ashe County. For fun, Brittany enjoys reading, baking, discovering new hobbies, and spending time with her family and cat.
