The Ashe Dash 5k and fun run will benefit the Top Dog Clinic, Ashe Middle School’s health center. Registration begins at 7:30am, the 5k at 8:15am and the fun run at 8:30am. If you are not a runner but would still like to offer support, there is the option to be a sleep-in supporter for $20 or walkers are welcome to enter the race. Online registration is available at https://runsignup.com/Race/NC/Jefferson/AsheDash5k. The Top Dog Clinic provides primary medical and behavioral health services to middle school students at the Ashe County Middle School. The focus of the Top Dog Clinic is prevention so that health problems and risky behaviors can be caught early or prevented altogether. Students are treated quickly and problems caught early so that they spend more time in class.
